Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic and corrective dentistry often go hand in hand. While misaligned or worn teeth may affect your smile’s appearance, they can also lead to functional issues like difficulty chewing or jaw strain.

Cosmetic treatments such as porcelain veneers, crowns, and braces not only enhance aesthetics but also support overall oral health.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are a natural-looking, durable solution for improving the appearance of teeth. Designed to mimic the translucency of natural enamel, they provide a long-lasting, stain-resistant enhancement with proper care. A skilled dentist can match their colour seamlessly to surrounding teeth for a flawless smile.

Types of Porcelain Veneers

  • Traditional (Prepared) Veneers – Custom-made to fit your teeth precisely, these veneers offer a highly realistic look. They require minimal reshaping of the tooth surface and allow for variations in shape, colour, and translucency to achieve the perfect smile.
  • No-Prep Veneers – A thinner, pre-made option that requires less alteration to the natural tooth. While more affordable, they offer limited customisation and may not be suitable for all patients.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth can become stained due to diet, coffee, tea, smoking, or genetics. Professional whitening is a safe and effective way to restore a brighter smile.

In-Chair Teeth Whitening

In-Chair Teeth Whitening is carried out in our dental practice by our team. This procedure can brighten your teeth in several shades in 30 minutes.

During the procedure, the dentist will apply a protective gel to your gums and a rubber shield to protect the oral soft tissues. A bleaching agent is then applied to the teeth, and a special light is used to enhance the process.

Take Home Whitening Treatment

A cost-effective option where a whitening gel is applied using a custom-moulded tray. The process is repeated over several days to achieve the desired shade. Stronger gels work faster but may cause temporary sensitivity.

Before beginning any whitening treatment, a dental check-up is essential to ensure there are no underlying gum or tooth issues that could be aggravated by the bleaching gel.
